Curtain Walling for Dundee Academy

Avtek Solutions has demonstrated their expertise in curtain walling by completing the works on the new Baldragon Academy in Dundee in conjunction with Robertson Construction Tayside.

The company has firmly established itself as one of Scotland’s leading players in the curtain walling and commercial window and doors sector, thanks to its ability to take full control of the design, manufacturing, installation and project management.

As part of the project, Avtek manufactured and installed a range of Metal Technology products including:

• System 17 Capped Curtain Walling
• System 4-35HI Top Hung Windows
• System 5-20D HI Doors
• System 23 Louvres.

One of the key areas of this project involved design of entrance screens that were over six metres high without intermediate support as this was key feature of the architects design.

The project also involved the installation of automatic bi-folding doors and adding Teleflex winders and Electric Actuators to windows.

The contract builds on Avtek’s success in the area after successfully completing the project to refurbish the neighbouring Sidlaw View Primary School in 2016.
