The Halo Enterprise and Innovation Hub is part of the £63M Halo urban regeneration of the Hill Street site formerly occupied by Johnnie Walker Scotch Whiskey.
Designed by Architects Keppie Design who also completed the adjacent Ayrshire College, were briefed to provide a transformational design that would have a catalytic effect on the town centre through an improved network of public movement and connections.
For main contractor Morrison Construction, Avtek worked with Metal Technology to engineer a solution that would overcome demanding building deflections. The result is a stunning façade using both capped and toggle glazed SP units which work seamlessly together.
We used the following Metal Technology products on this delivery; System 17 Capped Curtain Walling with feature projecting caps, System 17 – SP Silicone Pointed Curtain Walling and from our Thermal ranges: System 5-20D Hi+ Doors and System 10-35Hi+ Commercial Doors.
